Axminster
The beautiful market town of Axminster is set on the River Axe within the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and is filled with traditional charm and character.

With its quaint villages and unspoilt countryside, and just a few miles inland from the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site, Axminster is the perfect place to unwind and get back to nature.
With excellent rail links to London and Exeter, Axminster is a very popular town, with the best of Devon and Dorset on its doorstep.

Axminster Market is held every Thursday with around 21 traders.

Lyme Regis

Beer
The beautiful picturesque village of Beer is located on the UNESCO World Heritage Jurassic Coast in Devon.  Surrounded by white chalk cliffs, the shingle beach is lined with fishing boats still bringing in their daily catches and is famous for its mackerel.

On the edge of the South West Coast Path, Beer has some of the most stunning coastal walks in the county, one of the best being from Seaton to Beer with dramatic views across the Jurassic Coastline. Beer was also named recently by Countryfile as the Top Picnic spot in the UK from Jubilee Gardens at the top of the headland, chose for its stunning view of the beach and village from the hillside.

Honiton
An important staging post on the Exeter – London route, Honiton’s scenic setting has changed little since 1724 when Daniel Defoe described the view from Honiton Hill as ‘the most beautiful landscape in the world’.

This attractive town is famous worldwide for its intricate finely crafted bobbin lace traditionally used in royal items such as Queen Victoria’s wedding dress. A comprehensive Honiton Lace collection can be viewed at charming Allhallows Museum which also holds lace-making demonstrations in summer.

Almost equally famous, Honiton Pottery with beautiful stylised designs is no longer made in the town, but collectable pieces can be found in the plethora of antique shops.

Charmouth

Seaton
Seaton is the home of year-round outdoor adventure and offers active people an astonishing wealth of opportunities and terrain to explore. The Town is a natural playground for water sports fans. Walkers and cyclists have plenty of trails to explore.

The town offers several outstanding attractions including the brand new Jurassic themed Play Park at the Underfleet, a must for kids; Seaton Tramway whose narrow gauge heritage trams run through miles of unspoilt countryside; and Seaton Jurassic the newest attraction and Devon Wildlife Trust’s first flagship visitor centre. Visit and you’ll go on a journey through time, over land and underwater, to worlds familiar and alien as you explore the history of the coastline.

Seaton Beach is overlooks Lyme Bay and surrounded by beautiful countryside. The beach is an ideal spot for swimming or water sports – and there kayaks or Stand up Paddleboards can be hired on site

Branscombe
The Devon village of Branscombe is found on the South coast of Devon between Seaton and Sidmouth and is one of the most relaxing and picturesque villages on Jurassic Coastline. Believed to be the longest village in the country, the streets sweep down through the stunning valley to the sea, lined with colourful cottages and thatched buildings.

Here you will find pretty rows of thatched cottages with hanging baskets and climbing roses decorating the outside, a picturesque dovecote and a church with one of the most inspiring views in the county.

The village has a number of historic buildings, the Old Bakery and Forge, both National Trust properties, are just some which can be found in the beautiful streets. Inside the Old Bakery you will find yourself surrounded by baking tins and storages jars as well as open fires, while the compact forge is thought to be the oldest working thatched forge of its kind in England.
